Harvey Norman Commercial (HNC) is seeking for two permanent full-time entry level (Level 1) Junior Warehouse Assistants. This is a golden opportunity for you to build a long-term career with HNC.
This position suits those without prior warehouse experience as clear career path and training programmes will be offered to the right candidates. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Those who possesses a Forklift licence will be a bonus or otherwise, HNC will sponsor you to get one. School leavers or those with warehouse experience who are willing to start from ground up are encouraged to apply.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments of parts, verify their accuracy, and inspect them for any damages or discrepancies. Report any issues to the Store Manager
- Stocking and Organising: Properly label and store parts in their designated locations within the warehouse
- Order Picking and Packing: Prepare customer orders by accurately picking the required parts, packing them securely, and ensuring they are ready for delivery or pickup
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organised warehouse, ensuring adherence of safety guidelines. Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Documentation: Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment
Ideally you possess the following:
- Successfully completed Year 10 High School Certificate
- Physically fit to perform repetitive lifting, lifting of heavy objects and working in a physically demanding environment
- Driver License – including the ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mathematical skills
- A positive can-do attitude
- Honesty, positivity & flexibility
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Quick learner and one who takes pride and responsibilities in his/her work
- Adaptive to fast-paced and new environments
- Well-groomed presentation
