We are currently seeking a motivated Full Time Entry Level IT Support/Systems Administrator to join our team based at Taren Point.


Job Description

The role of Junior IT Support/Systems Administrator is to provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to Harvey Norman Commercial. Providing technical assistance to users, managing IT-related enquiries, and support for business systems, ensuring that the business continues to operate effectively. Maintain and administer existing systems and plan for their upgrades where required.


Responsibilities

  • Provide level 1 and level 2 support for complex systems on a day-to-day basis
  • Work closely with internal and external contact points to resolve and review Service Desk tickets
  • Escalate Service Desk tickets for additional resources as required
  • Continuously prioritise and effectively manage tasks and issues
  • Configure Windows devices via SCCM, PXE, and standard installation method
  • Troubleshoot Audio Visual equipment including Boardroom Monitors/TV, sound system and screensharing device
  • Maintain issue logs and produce detailed incident reports
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidently articulate problems, issues and provide solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation for business systems
  • Provide successful technical solutions to issues in a timely manner
  • Provide regular status updates to end users and stakeholders
  • Share knowledge with other team members
  • Participate in solution and process improvement
  • Participate in an on-call roster
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as required, including using your skill set within another division/department

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in similar roles
  • Experience supporting VMWare VSphere/VMware is preferred
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2019, and Windows 10 and 11 is mandatory
  • Understanding of Command Prompt and Windows PowerShell
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge
  • Knowledge of Linux systems
  • Knowledge of Backup (Symantec Backup Exec) technologies
  • Sound understanding/knowledge of Network Switches and VLAN concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience writing support documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills
